Not surprisingly, according to a survey performed by Flimp Media, in 2013 over 90% of marketing professionals used online video as a marketing tool. Moreover, out of those who used video marketing, 82% identified video as having a positive or very positive impact on their business.
If you are watching videos, it’s more than likely that your potential clientele is doing so as well. Today video is the most shared content on social media, and according to Invodo, a marketing research company, more than 50% of us feel more confident about spending our hard-earned money on a product after watching a video about it.
Through video, potential costumers don’t only get to see your product at work and understand it much better, but if the video is well made, they also see and experience your product and company’s personality in a way that relates to them. Images and text alone are important too, but they are never as powerful and compelling as a quality video (and this is coming from a blogger.)
Despite all of these benefits, the idea of producing our own video content can be intimidating and even scary. It is estimated that only 22% of small businesses use video as a way to promote their brand. Many of us still perceive video content as an expensive luxury that only the very big can engage in, or conversely, we have tried to make our own videos with our phones and have realized that the content we produce is not as effective as we had hoped. Luckily, if you have the right team, making fully professional looking video is not as high-priced as you might have previously imagined, and it’s an investment that will put you ahead of the curve and into the new era of marketing and communicating.
